Spruengli Druck AG in Villmergen is a satisfied user of AlkoGreen. There has been alcohol-free production on a 74-5 DI HEIDELBERG Speedmaster for the past 10 months. Various experts, however, predicted to Mr Roland Weibel, technical director at Spruengli Druck AG, that this would not be possible on this particular machine.

To begin with the wetting water was prepared manually. After a short test phase it was recognised that this alcohol replacement fulfilled the expectations. A swift decision was then made to install a volume-controlled dosing pump, thus providing a guarantee for the production of a standardised wetting water quality. It was determined that comparatively little AlkoGreen (approx. 1/3 of the previous alcohol quantity) was needed for this machine that was in use on a two-shift production basis. This explains the fact that alcohol, contrary to AlkoGreen, has a very high degree of volatility.
